Open tubular capillary ion chromatography with online dilution for small ions determination in drinks

Summary: This work presents the development of a robust, easy-to-use, low-pressure, and cost-effective NS-OTIC approach for small ion determination in drinks. The fabricated device successfully separated mixed cations and mixed anions, with high concentrations of ions directly introduced into the system without dilution. The linear relationship between the peak area and concentration of model ions was obtained, and good repeatability was achieved. Juice and tea samples were analyzed with satisfactory recoveries.

Electrochemical flow injection analysis for the rapid determination of reducing sugars in potatoes

Summary: Non-enzymatic electrochemical sensors developed for rapid monitoring of reducing sugars in foods showed high selectivity and long-term stability. The sensors achieved optimal performance in phosphate buffer at pH 7.4 with a flow rate of 0.5 mL min(-1) and an applied potential of 0.6 V, providing rapid detection without the need for sample preparation. The sensor results were in good agreement with those from a commercially available enzymatic assay kit.
