Connectedness to Nature and Pro-Environmental Behaviour from Early Adolescence to Adulthood: A Comparison of Urban and Rural Canada

Summary: The study found that emotional connectedness to nature is the strongest predictor of pro-environmental behavior, with adults and females displaying higher levels of emotional connectedness and pro-environmental behavior compared to adolescents and males. Urban and rural participants significantly differed in their levels of pro-environmental behavior, but not in their levels of emotional connectedness to nature.
