Risk assessment of elevated blood lead concentrations in the adult population using a decision tree approach

Alireza Amirabadizadeh et al.

Summary: This study aimed to develop a prediction model for elevated blood lead concentration (EBLC) based on demographic and clinical variables using a decision-tree model. The results showed that the decision tree model had better predictive accuracy than the logistic regression model, and doctors should pay attention to certain factors when screening for EBLC.

Acute Liver Failure Etiology Is an Independent Predictor of Waitlist Outcome but Not Posttransplantation Survival in a National Cohort

Natalie Z. Wong et al.

Summary: The study found that the etiology of acute liver failure (ALF) can impact waitlist and post-transplant outcomes, with significant differences in patient outcomes before and after treatment. Although the etiology of ALF can affect WL mortality and spontaneous survival, there is no significant association with overall survival and graft survival after liver transplant, but a higher inpatient mortality rate post-transplant.
