A Novel Unified Framework for Energy-Based Spectrum Sensing Analysis in the Presence of Fading

Aleksey S. Gvozdarev

Summary: This paper studies the performance of energy-based sensing in the presence of multipath fading and shadowing effects. A new generalization for the class of fading channel moment generating functions (MGFs) is proposed. The analysis of the sensing performance in relation to channel parameters is done by deriving closed-form solutions and computationally efficient approximations. Numerical simulations are performed to verify the results.

Design of an MISO-SWIPT-Aided Code-Index Modulated Multi-Carrier M-DCSK System for e-Health IoT

Guofa Cai et al.

Summary: The paper proposes a new multiple-input-single-output simultaneous wireless information and power transfer scheme for CIM-MC-M-DCSK system, utilizing the orthogonal characteristic of chaotic signals to provide energy and transmit information simultaneously. The system features desirable anti-multipath-fading capability without the need for a channel estimator, and its superiority is demonstrated through analysis of spectral efficiency and energy efficiency. Simulation results validate the analytical expressions and confirm the advantages of the proposed system.
