Regioselective Synthesis, Spectroscopic Characterization, and Computational Chemical Study of Spiro[Indoline-3,4'-Pyrazolo[3,4-b] Pyridine Derivatives as Agrochemical Agents

Nasser Abdelmoneim Ibrahim et al.

Summary: New four-component domino reactions were utilized to synthesize spiro[indoline-3,4'-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine derivatives in a one-pot reaction, resulting in the formation of two and three fused heterocyclic rings. The synthesized pyrazole derivatives showed poor insecticidal activity against Spodoptera littoralis but exhibited remarkable fungicidal activity against R. solani and F. solani soil-borne fungi, with some compounds even possessing higher fungicidal activities than the standard fungicide Pencycuron (Monceren 25%WP). This study also applied density functional theory to investigate the structural and electronic characteristics of the synthesized materials.
