Experimental study of hygrothermal ageing effects on failure modes of non-crimp basalt fibre-reinforced epoxy composite

Indraneel R. Chowdhury et al.

Summary: The study examined the effects of moisture ageing on flexural, interlaminar shear, and in-plane shear properties of NCF based basalt fiber reinforced epoxy composite at different stress levels, revealing a significant reduction in in-plane shear stiffness and strength following moisture absorption.

Synergistic effects of hygrothermal conditions and solar ultraviolet radiation on the properties of structural particulate-filled epoxy polymer coatings

Mojdeh Mehrinejad Khotbehsara et al.

Summary: The study investigated synergistic effects of solar UV radiation, moisture, and temperature on structural particulate-filled epoxy coatings. Results showed that fillers minimized fading and weight loss, with no reduction in flexural strength for coatings containing at least 40% fillers. Exposure to humidity and UV promoted post-curing, increased glass transition temperature, and enhanced cross-linking density.

Axial compression behaviour of all-composite modular wall system

Arvind Sharda et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the structural behavior of modular wall systems made from pultruded glass fiber reinforced polymer profile and composite sheathings. Results showed that composite wall systems with extended studs were ten times stiffer and stronger than walls with extended plates, demonstrating a high potential for fiber composite materials in modular wall systems.
