Think and pair before share: Effects of collaboration on students' in-class participation

Summary: In comparing different teaching strategies, the study found that Think-Pair-Share (TPS) can increase student classroom participation, especially benefiting shy students. Shy students may lower their hand raising due to state anxiety, but they can improve their participation through peer collaboration.
