Form selection of concomitant polymorphs: A case study informed by crystallization kinetics modeling

Weiwei Tang et al.

Summary: The study developed a population balance model to simulate a concomitant crystallization process of tolfenamic acid polymorphs, revealing the shared crystallization feature of stable form I and metastable form II, with an intermediate decline in the composition of form I in crystallized samples. Additionally, a four-quadrant scheme was used to simulate possible polymorph outcomes under various crystallization conditions.

Discerning the self-healing, shear-thinning characteristics and therapeutic efficacy of hydrogel drug carriers migrating through constricted microchannel resembling blood microcapillary

Niraj Kr Prasad et al.

Summary: The margination of nanodrug carriers towards the wall of microcapillaries during movement is crucial in therapy. Hydrogel drug carriers were found to withstand adverse constriction and migrate without drifting towards channel walls, showcasing their self-healing property and potential as potent drug carriers for cancer therapy.
