Perchlorate adsorption onto epichlorohydrin crosslinked chitosan hydrogel beads

Xiaolong Yu et al.

Summary: A novel epichlorohydrin crosslinked chitosan hydrogel beads (ECH-CSBs) were synthesized for perchlorate (ClO4-) adsorption. The study showed that ECH-CSBs exhibited excellent adsorption performance and reusability for ClO4-, with high adsorption capacity and complete regeneration achieved through rinsing.

Dietary exposure and risk assessment of perchlorate in diverse food from Wuhan, China

Yingjie Wang et al.

Summary: The study monitored the levels of perchlorate in 330 foods from Wuhan, evaluating dietary exposure and risk assessment. Results showed that vegetables had the highest perchlorate levels, while meat had the lowest, yet dietary exposure to perchlorate via food consumption was deemed safe for the people of Wuhan.

Strong selectivity and high capacity in the adsorption of As (V) from wastewater by glycine-modified Fe/Cu-layered double hydroxides

Xiaofeng Shi et al.

Summary: A series of glycine modified Fe/Cu LDH (GFC) adsorbents were prepared with high selectivity and adsorption capacity for As (V), following Langmuir isotherms and pseudo-second-order kinetics models. GFC1 showed potential as a candidate for arsenic adsorption from wastewater with high commercial value, despite a slight decrease in adsorption capacity after multiple cycles.
