Group maintenance strategy of CNC machine tools considering three kinds of maintenance dependence and its optimization

Junkai Sun et al.

Summary: This study proposes a group maintenance strategy of CNC machine tools considering economic dependence, structural dependence, and stochastic dependence among critical components and optimizes the group maintenance strategy. The model of group maintenance of CNC machine tools is composed of four sub-models: sub-model of component degression, sub-model of group maintenance decision, sub-model of imperfect maintenance, sub-model of maintenance cost. The effectiveness of the proposed optimization method for the group maintenance strategy is verified through a numerical example.

Similitude Analysis Method of the Dynamics of a Hybrid Spray-Painting Robot Considering Electromechanical Coupling Effect

Yuyao Song et al.

Summary: This article proposes a similitude analysis method to predict the dynamics of a hybrid spray-painting robot while considering the electro-mechanical coupling effect. A novel method for similitude analysis of coupling systems is introduced, which improves efficiency and flexibility. By deriving scaling laws of the controller in complex frequency domain, the article carries out similitude analysis of the electro-mechanical dynamics of the robot and proposes modifications to solve motor inertia and resistance distortion issues.

Analyzing the casting defects in small scale casting industry

C. Chelladurai et al.

Summary: In the current scenario of globalization, foundries play a crucial role in manufacturing industries as the major source of castings. Traditional manual operations in many Indian foundries often lead to common casting defects, impacting productivity, profitability, and quality levels. Efforts need to be made to identify and minimize these defects to improve the overall quality of castings in the industry.

Intelligent Guidance Programming of Welding Robot for 3D Curved Welding Seam

Bo Zhou et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a welding seam perception method based on a line structure-light sensor, realizes 3D modeling perception of welding parts through the robot's eye-in-hand system, and solves the problem of offline programming system being unable to be applied. Algorithms for extracting various types of 3D space curve welding seams are proposed, which can extract welds with high precision and resolution and are less affected by the welding environment.
