Novel multicolor-tunable Eu3+/Bi3+ co-doped Y2Zr2O7 transparent ceramics as potential white-light-emitting materials

Zhe Tang et al.

Summary: In this study, a multicolor-tunable Eu3+/Bi3+:Y2Zr2O7 transparent ceramic was successfully fabricated for the first time using vacuum sintering technology. The obtained samples showed bright, white light emission by combining green and red emissions, and also exhibited strong red and orange emissions under different excitation wavelengths. With excellent high temperature performance and mechanical properties, these ceramics have promising potential as white-light-emitting materials.

Transmittance enhancement of La0.4Gd1.6Zr2O7 transparent ceramic by aqueous AM gel-casting with pretreated powder

Ajiao Liu et al.

Summary: The research showed that the powder pretreatment method can improve the viscosity and solid content in the process of ceramic preparation, positively affecting the transparency of the ceramic. La0.4Gd1.6Zr2O7 ceramics prepared using the pretreated powder combined with gel casting method exhibited high transmittance and stability in the infrared region.

Fabrication and luminescent properties of holmium doped Y2Zr2O7 transparent ceramics as new type laser material

Yucheng Ye et al.

Summary: Highly transparent Ho: Y2Zr2O7 ceramics with different holmium doping concentrations were successfully fabricated via a vacuum sintering method. The ceramics exhibited high in-line transmittance in both visible and near infrared regions, with strong green and NIR emissions observed in luminescence. The ceramics also showed potential for both down and up converted fluorescence.
