Mesoporous silica-supported rhodium complexes alongside organic functional groups for catalysing the 1,4-addition reaction of arylboronic acid in water

Yuanyuan Kong et al.

Summary: The Rh-catalyzed 1,4-addition reaction of arylboronic acid is crucial in the synthesis of beta-arylcarbonyl compounds. This study immobilized Rh complexes and organic functional groups on mesoporous silica, resulting in significantly improved catalytic activity and yield in water. The catalyst showed broad applicability to a variety of arylboronic acids and enones.

Dinuclear Copper Complex Immobilized on a Janus-Type Material as an Interfacial Heterogeneous Catalyst for Green Synthesis

Majid Vafaeezadeh et al.

Summary: A rational design of a heterogeneous catalyst was described, featuring a dinuclear cuprate anion immobilized on one surface of Janus-type nanosheets and highly hydrophobic octyl groups on the other surface. The catalyst exhibited higher activity in biphasic synthesis and was successfully used in azide-alkyne cycloaddition and Chan-Lam C-N coupling reactions. New ways for the production of a coumarin-triazole derivative and the synthesis of biologically active compound Monastrol were established.
