Trypanosoma cruzi down-regulates adiponectin expression in mouse adipocytes via the NFAT signaling pathway

Miguel H. Santamaria et al.

Summary: Upon infection by Trypanosoma cruzi, adipocytes exhibit an inflammatory phenotype with decreased adiponectin expression, influencing the pathogenesis of Chagas heart disease. T. cruzi interferes with transcriptional regulation of adiponectin production in mouse adipocytes by activating the Ca2+/calcineurin/NFATc4 signaling pathway.

Concomitant overexpression of mir-182-5p and mir-182-3p raises the possibility of IL-17-producing Treg formation in breast cancer by targeting CD3d, ITK, FOXO1, and NFATs: A meta-analysis and experimental study

Mohammad Hasan Soheilifar et al.

Summary: The study showed that miR-182 regulates T cell polarization in breast cancer patients by targeting FOXO1, CD3d, ITK, NFATc3, etc., inhibiting IL-2 expression, while promoting the expression of FOXP3, TGF-beta, and IL-17.

Immunogenomic Identification for Predicting the Prognosis of Cervical Cancer Patients

Qun Wang et al.

Summary: This study identified 22 immune-related genes significantly associated with survival of cervical cancer through analysis of data from TCGA and ImmPort databases. These genes actively participate in the JAK-STAT pathway. A prognostic model based on 10 novel genes was established, showing stable predictive performance in SCC patients. These findings provide important insights for personalized treatment of cervical cancer patients.
