Biological activities and plant growth regulators producing from some microalgae biomass cultivated in different wastewater concentrations

Summary: The study evaluated the growth and biological activities of two cyanobacterial and a chlorophyta species under different culture media conditions, with a combination of culture media and treated sewage wastewater enhancing growth. HPLC analysis showed significant variations in auxin and cytokinin concentration depending on algae species and culture media. The antioxidant activity of the algae species varied under different conditions, with Chlorella vulgaris showing the highest antioxidant activity under nitrogen stress conditions. Antimicrobial activity of IAA and BA was observed against both Gram -ve and Gram + ve bacteria, as well as antifungal activity against Candida albicans.
