Design of a novel and potent multivalent epitope based human cytomegalovirus peptide vaccine: An immunoinformatics approach

Nahid Akhtar et al.

Summary: The study aimed to design a novel potent multi-epitope HCMV vaccine by predicting epitopes on target envelope glycoproteins, conducting molecular docking and population coverage analysis. A 283 amino acid long vaccine was successfully designed that is soluble, stable, and non-allergenic, with potential efficacy and safety further requiring validation through in vivo studies.

In-silico design of a multivalent epitope-based vaccine against Candida auris

Nahid Akhtar et al.

Summary: This study designed a novel multivalent vaccine against Candida auris using in-silico approach targeting Als3p protein. Non-toxic, non-allergenic, highly conserved, and antigenic epitopes were selected for vaccine construction which showed stable, soluble, antigenic, non-allergic properties. Molecular docking experiments confirmed the stable binding of the vaccine construct with Toll-like receptor (TLR) and major histocompatibility complex (MHC).
