Improved efficiency of lipase-mediated epoxidation of α-pinene using H2O2 in single-phase systems

Summary: By utilizing the intersolubility of alcohol and water, an efficient single-phase system was developed for the chemoenzymatic epoxidation of (-)-alpha-pinene, incorporating all substrates into one phase. Under optimal conditions, the conversion rate reached 92.3% and selectivity was 86.6%, with the enzyme being reusable for at least 6 cycles.
