Submillimeter-resolution magnetic field imaging with digital micromirror device and atomic vapor cell

Chen Liu et al.

Summary: Magnetic field source localization and imaging can occur at various scales, from meters to nanometers. By using an atomic vapor cell and techniques such as free induction decay (FID) and digital micromirror devices, researchers have demonstrated the ability to measure magnetic fields with high accuracy and sensitivity. By applying different currents in coils and analyzing FID signals, they were able to calculate residual and coil-generated fields, showing potential for 3D magnetography with outstanding spatial resolution, sensitivity, and dynamic range.
