Co-Promoted Ni Nanocatalysts Derived from NiCoAl-LDHs for Low Temperature CO2 Methanation

Fanying Zhang et al.

Summary: Ni-based nanocatalysts containing Co promoter were prepared and showed significantly improved activity for CO2 conversion at low temperatures. Co effectively controlled the size of Ni particles and regulated the number of basic sites in the catalyst, leading to increased CO2 adsorption. Additionally, the confinement effect of the AlOx substrate inhibited Ni nanoparticles agglomeration, resulting in high stability of the catalyst during continuous reactions.

Vacancy engineering of the nickel-based catalysts for enhanced CO2 methanation

Minghui Zhu et al.

Summary: By engineering oxygen vacancies, the activity of nickel-based catalysts in CO2 methanation reaction is enhanced. The introduction of Y2O3 to CeO2 facilitates the generation of surface oxygen vacancies, promoting the direct dissociation of CO2 and improving the methanation activity. This vacancy engineering strategy may guide the rational design of heterogeneous catalysts for CO2 hydrogenation.

Steering the selectivity in CO2 reduction on highly active Ru/TiO2 catalysts: Support particle size effects

Ali M. Abdel-Mageed et al.

Summary: By investigating oxide-supported Ru catalysts, it was found that the support particle size can influence the selectivity of the catalyst, thus controlling the formation of CO2 reduction reaction products. High-temperature treatment leads to an increase in oxygen vacancies and charge transfer, resulting in alterations to the catalyst's reaction characteristics.
