Manipulation of morphology and energy band alignment greatly influenced the physicochemical and photoelectrochemical properties of the materials.

Summary: The rational design of heterojunction photocatalysts with unique mesoporous structure significantly enhances the conversion efficiency of solar energy to hydrogen energy. The synthesized TiO2(A-R)/ZnTiO3 photocatalyst showed the highest hydrogen generation rate and improved photocatalytic activity compared to other TiO2-based photocatalysts. The 1D mesoporous nanostructure and closely-coupled triphase heterojunction contribute to the efficient separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs, resulting in enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen production activity.

Construction and investigation on perovskite-type SrTiO3@ reduced graphene oxide hybrid nanocomposite for enhanced photocatalytic performance

Summary: A facile hydrothermal synthetic approach was used to construct rGO/SrTiO3 nanocomposites for enhanced photocatalytic application. The synthesized nanocomposites demonstrated efficient charge separation and migration with suppressed recombination probability, leading to high photocatalytic activity in methylene blue and 2-nitrophenol degradation. The introduction of rGO significantly enhanced the photocatalytic activity, with a maximum removal efficiency of 91% and 81% for different dyes. The recyclability and possible reaction mechanisms of the ESG 10 photocatalyst were also discussed.

The photocatalyst contained four different crystalline structures to facilitate photoelectron transport and suppress charge recombination through coupled heterogeneous interfaces. Despite the high-bandgap, the photocatalyst demonstrated exceptional capability to harvest visible light photons due to the coexistence of various photosensitive compounds.
