Long noncoding RNA EIF1AX-AS1 promotes endometrial cancer cell apoptosis by affecting EIF1AX mRNA stabilization

Chengyu Lv et al.

Summary: This study reveals that the lncRNA EIF1AX-AS1 plays an important role in the occurrence and development of endometrial carcinoma (EC). EIF1AX-AS1 is downregulated in clinical EC tissues and is closely correlated with tumor type. It inhibits EC cell proliferation and promotes apoptosis by interacting with EIF1AX mRNA and PCBP1. Moreover, EIF1AX promotes c-Myc translation through its interaction with YBX-1, forming a feed-forward loop to regulate EC cell proliferation.

miRNA, lncRNA and circRNA: Targeted Molecules Full of Therapeutic Prospects in the Development of Diabetic Retinopathy

Xingyu Chang et al.

Summary: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a common and serious complication of diabetes, leading to worldwide blindness. Noncoding RNAs, such as miRNAs, lncRNAs, and circRNAs, play a crucial role in the occurrence and development of DR by regulating gene expression and affecting various biological processes in the retina. Understanding the role of ncRNAs in DR can potentially lead to new therapeutic directions and targets.

Hypoxia-Induced MALAT1 Promotes the Proliferation and Migration of Breast Cancer Cells by Sponging MiR-3064-5p

Chung-Hsien Shih et al.

Summary: This study reveals that under hypoxic conditions, MALAT1 can be transcriptionally activated by HIF-1α and HIF-2α to act as a miRNA sponge for miR-3064-5p, promoting migration and proliferation of breast cancer cells.

Biological Function of Long Non-coding RNA (LncRNA) Xist

Wenlun Wang et al.

Summary: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play important roles in cellular functions by regulating target gene expression levels through epigenomic, transcriptional, and post-transcriptional approaches. Among them, long non-coding RNA X-inactive specific transcript (lncRNA Xist) acts as a crucial regulator in X chromosome inactivation and various disease processes.
