Myh9 deletion disrupts cell junctions, impairs intestinal lumen barrier integrity, and promotes epithelial cell necroptosis. These effects can be partially rescued by Ripk3 knockout. Myh9 is therefore necessary for maintaining intestinal epithelium integrity and preventing cell necroptosis.
