Polythionine-mediated AgNWs-AuNPs aggregation conductive network: Fabrication of molecularly imprinted electrochemiluminescence sensors for selective capture of kanamycin

Haiyang Wang et al.

Summary: A molecularly imprinted electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor was developed for the specific detection of kanamycin in food. The sensor used silver nanowires-gold nanoparticles as a luminophore and polythionine as an accelerator. Molecularly imprinted polymers were polymerized on the conductive network, laying the foundation for specific capture of kanamycin. The optimized sensor showed a good linear relationship with kanamycin concentration and low detection limit, demonstrating satisfactory selectivity and stability. The sensor was successfully used to detect kanamycin in actual samples with satisfactory recovery, in agreement with HPLC-MS/MS results.

Effect of Photonic Band Gap on Photoluminescence in a Dye-Doped Blue Phase Liquid Crystal

Nurjahan Khatun et al.

Summary: The tunability of fluorescence intensity is crucial for improving the versatility of devices like emissive displays and solar cells. Soft photonic crystals with a tunable photonic band gap are highly sought after for this purpose. This study demonstrates the modulation of photoluminescence intensity in a dye-doped blue phase liquid crystal, showing that cooling increases PL intensity while the application of an electric field decreases it.

Photonic Crystal of Polystyrene Nanomembrane: Signal Amplification and Low Triggered Potential Electrochemiluminescence for Tetracycline Detection

Xiao-Yan Wang et al.

Summary: A low triggered potential electrochemiluminescence strategy based on gold-filled photonic crystal electrodes was proposed in this study. The strategy involved Ru(bpy)(3)(2+)-COOH labeling on antibodies connected to immobilized antigens for detection, with ECL emission initiated by the oxidation of tripropylamine. The nanomembrane of the photonic crystals was found to enhance the electrochemiluminescence, allowing successful detection of tetracycline antibiotic with a low detection limit.
