Summary: Two novel URFs, consisting of CRF01_AE and CRF07_BC, were identified in Shijiazhuang, China. The CRF01_AE segments traced back to cluster 4 of CRF01_AE strains, which are prevalent among HIV-1 infections through MSM in China. This study suggests that new URFs are gradually developing and spreading, indicating the need for adjustments to past prevention strategies.
