Dual-templating strategy for the fabrication of graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide and composite scaffolds with hierarchical architectures

Yiwen Chen et al.

Summary: A dual-templating method is developed to fabricate graphene oxide (GO) scaffolds with interconnected hierarchical porosity for bone tissue engineering. The method involves freezing and drying high internal phase emulsions stabilized by GO sheets, resulting in the templating of large and small pores by oil droplets and ice crystals, respectively. This approach enables the synthesis of complex hierarchical architectures in reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and GO composite scaffolds.

Preparation of elastic graphene aerogel and its adsorption of oil

Yuqin Bo et al.

Summary: In this study, a polyvinyl alcohol-graphene aerogel was prepared using the Pickering emulsion method, and the mechanical properties of the aerogel can be effectively influenced by adjusting the EDA content and pre-freezing time. The aerogel has a low density and high porosity, allowing for instantaneous oil adsorption on water surfaces.

Heterogeneous lamellar-edged Fe-Ni(OH)2/Ni3S2 nanoarray for efficient and stable seawater oxidation

Baihua Cui et al.

Summary: The study presents a heterostructure of Ni3S2 nanoarray with Fe-Ni(OH)(2) edges for efficient catalysis in seawater electrolysis, demonstrating high Faraday efficiency for oxygen evolution reaction and good stability. The introduction of Fe activator and heterostructure design offer massive active and selective sites, providing insights for the rational design of high-performance Fe-based electrodes for industrial seawater electrolysis.
