Perovskite Quantum Dots Glasses Based Backlit Displays

Jidong Lin et al.

Summary: This research introduces a method using perovskite quantum dots to produce nanocomposites in glass with superior optical performance and stability, which can be used to improve the color gamut and rendition of LCD. By physically diluting to eliminate the inner filter effect and effectively isolating them from the external environment, the quantum yield and stability of the quantum dots have been significantly enhanced. The backlit LCD designed using this technology showed a color gamut reaching 152% of commercial LCD and 103% of NTSC, showcasing great potential in the optoelectronic industry.

Surface-State-Mediated Interfacial Hole Transfer Dynamics between CsPbBr3 Perovskite Nanocrystals and Phenothiazine Redox Couple

Syed Akhil et al.

Summary: This study investigated the impact of surface chemistry on the excited-state interactions of cesium lead bromide perovskite nanocrystals, revealing that amine-free PNCs could be an ideal candidate for photocatalytic reactions. The photoinduced hole transfer and hole transfer constant were significantly higher in amine-free ligands compared to conventional amine ligands, indicating the importance of surface chemistry in the design of photocatalytic reactions using PNCs.
