DECISA Project (DErmatology Clinics in Italy: Survey on Alitretinoin): A real-life retrospective cohort multicenter study on 438 subjects with chronic hand eczema

Silvia Ferrucci et al.

Summary: The DECISA project retrospectively examined the real-life efficacy, safety, and tolerability of alitretinoin in the treatment of moderate-severe chronic hand eczema (CHE) refractory to standard therapies. The results showed significant improvement in disease severity and clear/almost clear Physician Global Assessment (PGA) scores at 3 and 6 months. Relapses were managed effectively with additional courses of alitretinoin, and no major safety issues were reported.

Does Size Affect the Rate of Perforation? A Cross-sectional Study of Medical Gloves

Asma Zare et al.

Summary: This study compared the rate and location of glove perforation between well-fitted and ill-fitted gloves, finding that wearing the wrong size gloves may increase the perforation rate. Therefore, providing a wide range of glove sizes by the hospital management, and choosing the best glove size can be very effective in reducing the glove perforation and increasing safety for healthcare workers and patients.
