An Evaluation of the Relationship Between Perceptions and Performance of Students in a Serious Game

Summary: The growing interest in digital games for education has led to the expansion of game-based learning, with studies showing that students' perceptions of games for learning may not necessarily correlate with their gameplay performance. However, there seems to be a relationship between students' game experiences and their gameplay performance.

Effectiveness of Serious Games for Safety Training: A Mixed Method Study

Summary: The study examines the effectiveness of serious games for safety training in construction industry. Results indicate that serious game-based safety training significantly increases students' occupational safety knowledge compared to traditional training, and ensures the maintenance of acquired safety knowledge over time. Additionally, participants' game experience levels do not affect their safety training performance.
