Suicide prevention in childhood and adolescence: a narrative review of current knowledge on risk and protective factors and effectiveness of interventions

Danuta Wasserman et al.

Summary: Suicide rates among children and adolescents have generally decreased globally in recent decades, with some increases reported in specific regions. Risk and protective factors for suicide in children and adolescents overlap with those for adults, but developmental characteristics may exacerbate the impact of some factors in this age group.
