Para athletes' perceptions of abuse: a qualitative study across three lower resourced countries

Injury and Illness Surveillance in Elite Para Athletes An Urgent Need for Suitable Illness Prevention Strategies

Summary: This study aimed to describe the prevalence and incidence of injuries and illnesses among German athletes preparing for the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. The results showed that 28% of athletes reported health problems and 12% experienced substantial health problems. Paraplegic athletes reported a higher prevalence of health problems compared to nonparaplegic athletes.
