Interplay of psychological reactance, burnout, and spiritual intelligence: A case of Iranian EFL teachers

Summary: This study examined the relationship among teacher burnout, psychological reactance, and the mediating role of spiritual intelligence in a sample of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers. The results showed that there was a positive association between burnout and reactance, and negative associations between spiritual intelligence with burnout and reactance. Additionally, spiritual intelligence was found to mediate the relationship between burnout and reactance.

These results are crucial for schools and researchers to consider the impact of COVID-19 on teachers.
