Synthesis and optical properties of Cs4PbBr6 perovskite nanocrystals by the water assisted solid-state reaction (WASSR) method

Summary: In this study, a cesium-lead-bromide perovskite film was prepared using the vacuum deposition method, with a more balanced stoichiometry achieved by replacing some CsBr with NaBr. The introduction of an appropriate amount of NaBr not only reduced insulating phases and passivated trap states in the active layer, leading to a 2-fold increase in peak external quantum efficiency (EQE) of PeLEDs, but also significantly improved device operational stability. Furthermore, the first top-emissive silicon-based PeLED was successfully fabricated using all-vacuum deposition method based on NaBr doped perovskite films, offering a promising alternative for high-performance silicon-based display devices in the future.
