Dry eye disease flares: A rapid evidence assessment

Summary: This study conducted a rapid evidence assessment to identify evidence for and characteristics of dry eye disease (DED) flares. The results from 22 studies revealed triggers and characteristics of DED flares, including real-world triggers and exacerbations of symptoms and signs during flares. Further research is needed to assist clinicians in early diagnosis and treatment of patients experiencing flares.
