High proton conductivity in metalloring-cluster based metal-organic nanotubes

Summary: Two novel anionic single-walled metal-organic nanotubes, FJU-105 and FJU-106, were successfully achieved using [In-6(cdc)(6)](6+) metalloring cluster as the secondary building blocks. FJU-106, with functionalized inner surface by uncoordinated -COOH groups of the H-btc linkers, shows higher proton conduction than FJU-105. Proton conduction performances of up to 1.80 x 10-(2) S cm (-1) were observed in FJU-106 at 70 degrees C, making it the best performer among MONTs.

Precise Molecular-Level Modification of Nafion with Bismuth Oxide Clusters for High-performance Proton-Exchange Membranes

Summary: By precisely hybridizing nano-scaled bismuth oxide clusters into Nafion, a high-performance hybrid membrane, Nafion-Bi-12-3 %, was fabricated, showing excellent proton conductivity and mechanical stability ideal for high-performance PEM fuel cells. Molecular dynamics simulation was employed to clarify the structural properties and assembly mechanisms of the hybrid membrane at the molecular level. The hybrid membrane exhibited a maximum current density of 432.7 mA cm(-2) and power density of 110.2 mW cm(-2) for direct methanol fuel cells, providing new insights into the design of functional polymer electrolyte membranes through polyoxometalate hybridization.

Modification of indium oxide nanofibers by polyoxometalate electron acceptor doping for enhancement of gas sensing at room temperature

Manufacture of non-aqueous redox flow batteries using sulfate-templated Dawson-type polyoxometalate with improved performances

The asymmetric NRFB using [C16H36N](4)[S2W18O62] and benzophenone as active species achieved a coulombic efficiency of over 97% and excellent stability, while the symmetric NRFB showed moderate performance with lower coulombic efficiency. The permeability of polyoxoanion [S2W18O62](4-) through the AMI-7001 membrane was also examined.
