Summary: Flexible pressure sensors are being increasingly studied for mimicking human skin to sense external pressure. Achieving fully biomimetic skins requires sensors with high resolution and high sensitivity, and a micropillar-PVDF dielectric layer has been successfully designed to meet these requirements. The sensor matrix based on the micropillar-PVDF film and electrode array has shown high resolution and sensitivity in detecting pressure distribution and mapping objects with various geometries.

Summary: In this study, ultrahigh sensitivity flexible pressure sensors were developed using 3D-printing flexible hollow microstructure substrates, spray-coated gold film, and Ag interdigital electrodes. The sensor with hollow microcylinder structure showed significantly higher sensitivity compared to the solid microcylinder structure sensor, with rapid response and recovery times.
