Increase of precipitation by cloud seeding observed from a case study in November 2020 over Shijiazhuang, China

Xiaobo Dong et al.

Summary: This study investigates the changes of cloud and precipitation properties after cloud seeding in Shijiazhuang, China. The observations show a decrease in cloud droplet concentration and liquid water content, and an increase in ice particle concentration and precipitation particle concentration post-seeding. Satellite observations also reveal less cloud reflection after cloud seeding. Additionally, two short-term precipitation events occurred with increased precipitation amounts, indicating successful cloud seeding.
