Summary: A paper-based chemosensor array device (PCSAD) was proposed for simultaneous classification of 12 saccharides and quantification of fructose and glucose. The mechanism relied on indicator displacement assay (IDA) using catechol dyes, 3-nitrophenylboronic acid, and saccharides for qualitative, semiquantitative, and quantitative analyses. The chemosensors showed clear color changes for discrimination of saccharides and detection of fructose in commercial soft drinks.
