DNAzyme-Amplified Electrochemical Biosensor Coupled with pH Meter for Ca2+ Determination at Variable pH Environments

Hui Wang et al.

Summary: This study investigated a method for detecting Ca2+ concentrations using an electrochemical biosensor. By changing the structure and length of the DNAzyme, the impedance signal was amplified. Coupling the electrochemical biosensor with a pH meter improved the detection accuracy by overcoming the interference of pH.

Electrochemical device based on nonspecific DNAzyme for the high-accuracy determination of Ca2+ with Pb2+ interference

Hui Wang et al.

Summary: Calcium is an abundant and essential element in biology, but excess can be harmful. An electrochemical biosensor was developed to detect calcium ions, sensitive to Ca2+ but interfered with by Pb2+, a device combining specific biosensors and data processing models to determine Ca2+ concentration with a detection limit of 5.48 mu M.
