Adopting permanent His bundle pacing: learning curves and medium-term outcomes

Jhobeleen De Leon et al.

Summary: This study aims to investigate the procedural characteristics, success rates, and outcomes of His bundle pacing (HBP). The results showed an acute procedural success rate of 81.1%. Fluoroscopic and procedural times decreased and plateaued with increasing experience. During follow-up, some patients experienced loss of HBP capture and an increase in threshold.

Summary: Left bundle branch pacing (LBBP) appears to be a promising method for delivering cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), showing similar improvements in symptoms and left ventricular function compared with His bundle pacing (HBP) but more significant than biventricular pacing (BVP).

Summary: This study evaluated cardiac electrical and mechanical synchrony comparing LBBP and HBP in patients with permanent AF, showing similar LV function between the two pacing modes but a modest delay in RV activation with LBBP, which requires further investigation.
