Revised recommendations of the Italian Society of Pediatrics about the general management of Kawasaki disease

Summary: The revised recommendations for the general management of Kawasaki disease aim to promote prompt recognition and appropriate therapy, based on scientific data, to raise awareness of complications related to misdiagnosis or delayed treatment. Following these recommendations should improve prognosis and prevent permanent vascular abnormalities in Kawasaki disease, reducing morbidity and mortality.
