Striking a balance: outcomes of short-term Mono-J placement following ureterorenoscopy

Alina Reicherz et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the outcomes of short-term Mono-J insertion for 6 hours following ureteroscopic stone removal. Results showed significantly reduced urinary symptoms and pain index 3-5 weeks after surgery, independent of stone size, localization, operation time, and treating endourologist. Six patients required reintervention, indicating potential limitations of the Mono-J insertion approach.
