Electrodeposition, solvent engineering, and two-step solution deposition of the perovskite films: morphological and structural study

Hamed Abdy et al.

Summary: The study compared different deposition methods for perovskite solar cells and found that the electrodeposition method on mesopore substrate achieved 99% surface coverage and the largest grain sizes (340.4 nm), while the solvent engineering method resulted in the most uniform grain sizes for both planar and mesopore TiO2 substrates. The results suggest that electrodeposition may be the preferred method for perovskite deposition in solar applications.

Numerical Optimization of Electrodeposition Thickness Uniformity with Respect to the Layout of Anode and Cathode

Guang Yang et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the optimization of electrodeposition thickness uniformity through adjusting anode-cathode spacing, surface areas, and partially shielded cathode. The combined application of these methods can achieve better results compared to using a single method. Simulation and tests show a decrease in the ratio of sideline thickness to central line thickness, indicating improved uniformity.

Impact of Photoluminescence Reabsorption in Metal-Halide Perovskite Solar Cells

Mingcong Wang et al.

Summary: This study examines the impact of photoluminescence reabsorption (PLr) on metal-halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) using time-resolved photoluminescence (TRPL) spectroscopy and time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy (TRTS). The results show that PLr is beneficial for quasi-Fermi-level splitting (QFLS) at low nonradiative recombination rates, but detrimental at high rates. Incorporating PLr into a two-diode model allows extraction of effective parameters in PSCs, revealing the importance of considering PLr effects for accurate analysis.

Crystal-Size-Induced Band Gap Tuning in Perovskite Films

Amita Ummadisingu et al.

Summary: The crystal size in metal halide perovskite films has a significant impact on their opto-electronic characteristics, particularly due to the concurrent effects of quantum confinement and size-dependent structural effects resulting in a wider band gap. This phenomenon assists in photo-induced charge separation and is widely applicable in different compositions and deposition methods.
