A proof of concept of a structural supercapacitor made of graphene coated woven carbon fibers: EIS study and mechanical performance

Xoan F. Sanchez-Romate et al.

Summary: A multifunctional supercapacitor based on a graphene nanoplatelet coated woven carbon fiber composite has been manufactured and shown superior capacitor properties through electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and chronoamperometry tests. Despite a reduction in mechanical strength due to the addition of a polymer electrolyte and GNPs, the structural supercapacitor still demonstrated promising capabilities in illuminating an LED.

Effect of surface modification of dispersoid on hybrid polymer electrolyte

Shilpa Khurana et al.

Summary: This study investigated the properties of hybrid polymer electrolyte films containing surface modified SiO2 nanoparticles and electrolyte solution in PVdF-HFP. The surface modification of SiO2 nanoparticles led to reduced aggregation and enhanced ionic conductivity of the electrolyte film. The optimized hybrid film demonstrated wide electrochemical stability and good mechanical/thermal stability, suitable for electric double layer capacitor applications.
