The PCT to Albumin Ratio Predicts Mortality in Patients With Acute Kidney Injury Caused by Abdominal Infection-Evoked Sepsis

Lijuan Chen et al.

Summary: This study investigated the value of PCT and CRP as well as the ratios of PCT/Alb and CRP/Alb in predicting poor prognosis in sepsis-induced AKI patients. PCT/Alb was identified as an independent risk factor with higher predictive accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity compared to PCT alone. It has the potential to enhance disease management and reduce mortality in this patient population.
