Behaviour of steel fibers reinforced exterior beam-column joint using headed bars under reverse cyclic loading

Payal Sachdeva et al.

Summary: The study focuses on evaluating the performance of steel fiber reinforced concrete external beam-column joints using headed bars as an anchorage mechanism. It has been found that headed bars can significantly replace conventional bars in seismic vulnerable areas, providing higher load carrying capacity, better ductility and stiffness response, and reducing congestion in joints.

Structural performance of reinforced concrete interior beam-column joints with high-strength bars

Sang-Woo Kim et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the structural performance of reinforced concrete interior beam-column joints with high-strength screw-type steel bars connected with couplers. The experiment showed that flexural cracks near the couplers slightly influenced initial stiffness and yielding point of longitudinal reinforcement, but did not significantly affect load-versus-drift relationship, peak load, and ductility capacity. The analytical results were similar to the experimental results.
