Survival Nomogram for Stage IB Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer Patients, Based on the SEER Database and an External Validation Cohort

Zhichao Zuo et al.

Summary: A nomogram was constructed to predict the overall survival of patients with stage IB NSCLC based on risk factors affecting prognosis. The nomogram showed good prognostic accuracy and clinical applicability, with significant differences in survival rates observed between high-risk and low-risk groups. Chemotherapy was significantly associated with OS in patients with differentiation grades II-IV and adenocarcinoma, indicating potential benefits for these subgroups.

Nomogram for predicting advanced liver fibrosis and cirrhosis in patients with chronic liver disease

Rongrong Ding et al.

Summary: A novel predictive nomogram was formulated to discriminate liver fibrosis stage in patients with chronic liver disease. The nomograms showed superior accuracy in predicting advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis compared to commonly used indices in both training and validation sets. Decision curve analysis indicated better clinical benefits of the nomograms over other indices.

Use of Texture Analysis on Noncontrast MRI in Classification of Early Stage of Liver Fibrosis

Ru Zhao et al.

Summary: This study compared the diagnostic value of texture analysis-derived parameters from different MRI sequences in classifying the early stage of liver fibrosis. It was found that all three sequences (out-of-phase T1W, in-phase T1W, and T2W) exhibited good diagnostic performance, with T2W having the highest AUC. The results suggest that noncontrast MRI scans with texture analysis are effective for classifying early stages of liver fibrosis.

Prediction of Microvascular Invasion in Hepatocellular Carcinoma With a Multi-Disciplinary Team-Like Radiomics Fusion Model on Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Computed Tomography

Wanli Zhang et al.

Summary: This study investigated microvascular invasion (MVI) of HCC using a noninvasive multi-disciplinary team-like radiomics fusion model on dynamic contrast enhanced CT. Image features extracted from the portal venous phase showed dominant predictive performances, and model fusion outperformed a single model in MVI prediction. The MDT-like radiomics fusion model is a promising tool for accurate and reproducible results in MVI status prediction in HCC.

MRI Features for Predicting Microvascular Invasion of Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Seung Baek Hong et al.

Summary: This meta-analysis identified seven significant MRI features as predictors for microvascular invasion (MVI) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), including larger tumor size, rim arterial enhancement, arterial peritumoral enhancement, peritumoral hypointensity on hepatobiliary phase imaging, nonsmooth margin, multifocality, and hypointensity on T1-weighted imaging. These MRI features can be useful in the management of HCC.
