Chemokine C-C Motif Ligand 7 (CCL7), a Biomarker of Atherosclerosis, Is Associated with the Severity of Alopecia Areata: A Preliminary Study

Anna Waskiel-Burnat et al.

Summary: The study found no significant differences in serum levels of proinflammatory proteins associated with atherosclerosis and cardiovascular risk between patients with alopecia areata and healthy controls. However, a positive correlation was observed between the concentration of CCL7 and the severity of alopecia areata, while GDF15 correlated with age at disease onset. The severity of alopecia areata may be associated with an increased risk of atherosclerosis.

Sortilin regulates keratinocyte proliferation and apoptosis through the PI3K-AKT signaling pathway

Rui Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, it was found that suppressed sortilin expression can inhibit keratinocyte proliferation in HaCaT cells by inactivating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, providing a new target for the therapy of psoriasis. Additionally, sortilin silencing was shown to alleviate the characteristic changes associated with psoriasis-like skin lesions.

Mutual Relationship Between Sleep Disorders, Quality of Life and Psychosocial Aspects in Patients With Psoriasis

Summary: Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune skin disease affecting about 2-4% of the global population, leading to decreased quality of life for patients. The relationship between sleep disorders and the psychosocial status of patients with psoriasis is bidirectional, causing a vicious cycle of abnormality triggering each other.
