Microwave-assisted reduction of graphene oxide for an electrochemical supercapacitor: Structural and capacitance behavior

Nurul Hazwani Aminuddin Rosli et al.

Summary: A fast and facile method for producing reduced graphene oxide (rGO) through a microwave-assisted reaction using sodium cholate as a reducing agent was demonstrated. Reduction was confirmed at different temperatures, with higher temperatures resulting in greater removal of oxygen-containing functional groups from GO. The rGO sample reacted at 140 degrees C showed superior specific capacitance values and cycle performance, making it a promising electrode material for supercapacitor applications.
