Lycium barbarum polysaccharides alleviate LPS-induced inflammatory responses through PPARγ/MAPK/NF-κB pathway in bovine mammary epithelial cells

Tianle Xu et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of Lycium barbarum polysaccharides (LBP) on proinflammatory responses in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated primary bovine mammary epithelial cells. The results showed that LBP reduced the expression of proinflammatory factors and cytokines induced by LPS stimulation, inhibited the NF-kappa B and MAPK pathways, and activated peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPAR gamma). LBP also reversed the negative effect of LPS on cell proliferation. The protective effect of LBP on LPS-induced inflammation was found to be dependent on PPAR gamma activation.

Health Benefits and Chemical Composition of Matcha Green Tea: A Review

Joanna Kochman et al.

Summary: Matcha, a type of powdered green tea grown in a traditional way in Japan, is considered the highest quality tea due to its unique chemical composition and prized flavor. Its health-promoting properties, attributed to the high content of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory substances, may have a positive effect on both physical and mental health. Studies confirm the high antioxidant potential of matcha, originating from its considerable content of catechins, beneficial for human health.

Standardized extract of ginger ameliorates liver cancer by reducing proliferation and inducing apoptosis through inhibition oxidative stress/inflammation pathway

Alaaeldin Ahmed Hamza et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that ginger has chemo-preventive effects against liver cancer by reducing carcinogenic changes, inducing apoptosis, and protecting the liver from oxidative and inflammatory damage. Ginger also inhibits cell proliferation and promotes cell death, showcasing its potential as a natural preventive agent for liver cancer.
