Photo-fluorination of nanodiamonds catalyzing oxidative dehydrogenation reaction of ethylbenzene

Zhishan Luo et al.

Summary: The authors developed a photo-induced fluorination technique to produce an oxidative dehydrogenation catalyst by grafting fluorine atoms on nanodiamonds. The catalyst exhibited excellent performance with high ethylbenzene conversion and styrene yield, surpassing other benchmarks. The fluorine functionalization not only promoted carbon conversion and generation of graphitic layers but also increased active sites, contributing to innovative breakthroughs in carbocatalysis.
