Influence of Fe, La, Zr, Ce, and Ca on the catalytic performance and coke formation in dry reforming of methane over Ni/MgO.Al2O3 catalyst

Somaye Sadat Miri et al.

Summary: The catalytic and structural properties of mesoporous nanocrystalline 10 wt.% Ni-MeOx-MgAl2O4 catalysts were investigated in dry reforming of methane. The addition of Ce significantly improved the catalytic performance, suppressing carbon deposition and enhancing CH4 conversion. The 3 wt.% Ce-promoted catalyst exhibited the best performance in terms of high CH4 conversion and low carbon deposition.

Catalytic Methane Combustion on the Hydrothermally Synthesized MnO2 Nanowire Catalysts

Ehsan Akbari et al.

Summary: Different morphologies of MnOx nanocrystalline catalysts prepared using hydrothermal and solution methods showed varying performance in catalytic combustion of methane, with the wire-like MnO2 catalyst exhibiting excellent efficiency. Various synthesis factors significantly influenced the structure and activity of the catalysts, with a specific sample showing the highest efficiency under certain conditions. The stability of the optimal MnO2 sample decreased slightly in the presence of CO2 and water vapor, but displayed high stability under dry feed conditions at higher temperatures for an extended period.

Catalytic performance of copper oxide supported α-MnO2 nanowires for the CO preferential oxidation in H2-rich stream

Raziyeh Jokar et al.

Summary: The study found that the 10wt% CuO/MnO2 catalyst exhibited the best catalytic performance in CO preferential oxidation reaction, attributed to the synergistic interaction between copper and manganese. However, adding CO2 and/or H2O to the feedstock decreased the catalyst performance.
